REMEDIATION / RECLAMATION PROJECT MANAGER

S.E. SASKATCHEWAN

 

Our S.E. Saskatchewan Business Unit is currently looking for a Remediation / Reclamation Project Manager to join our dynamic team of professionals.

 

The successful candidate will assist in growing and developing our S.E. Saskatchewan Business Unit.  This person will liaison with clients and regulatory bodies as well as act as a technical mentor/trainer to junior staff.  The position will involve managing large projects and/or a number of smaller complicated projects primarily based in the Saskatchewan Oil & Gas Industry. 

 

The position duties will entail but not be limited to:

 

  • Senior project management, mentorship and supervision of reclamation activities, contaminated site assessments and spill response (e.g. Pre-Disturbance Assessments, Detailed Site Assessments, Phase I, II and III ESAs, Site Audits and Wellsite Reclamation);
  • Preparation of consulting reports;
  • Liaising with regulators, clients and landowners/stakeholders;
  • Completion of senior review of reports for QA/QC;
  • Participation in the on-going improvement of company policy, procedures and protocols (office, field and safety);
  • Contributing to business development strategies;
  • Assisting in recruiting additional team members, as required.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • University degree in applied environmental science, soil science etc. or similar;
  • Familiarity with oil & gas reclamation and contamination issues/sites;
  • Experienced in plant identification and soil identification/classification;
  • Have or eligible for a Professional designation (e.g. P.Ag., P. Biol.) or other relevant professional association
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of working experience;
  • Thorough knowledge of environmental legislation applicable to site remediation and reclamation as it applies to the oil and gas industry in both Alberta and Saskatchewan.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment;
  • Valid safety certificates are preferred while a valid driver’s license is required.

Drilling Supervisors and Field Coordinators with experience on any of the following: SAGD wells, Horizontal wells, Surface Setting Rigs, Shallow Vertical wells and High Pressure wells, as well as any experience in running liner installations in multi lateral legs;

Completions Supervisors and Field Coordinators: with experience in any of the above well types as well as Multi-stage Frac liners and/or Frac services on well stimulations.

Work is a contract position to be completed in the Lloydminster and Southeast Saskatchewan areas.  Experience in the Montney and Bakken, formations in Alberta and Saskatchewan is an asset.  The successful candidates must be computer literate, have good communications skills, and be IRP-7 compliant.

Senior Operations Manager – Drilling Waste Division

Position Summary

Keneco is seeking a Senior Operations Manager for its Drilling Waste Division to provide management and support to drilling waste activities across western Canada. Core responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory and company policies while managing projects and communicating with clients. This successful candidate will be expected to work in both office and field settings; working closely with personnel training and auditing sites. Assisting in the recruitment and selection of additional personnel will be expected as required.

Essential Functions

- Responsible for overall efficient and effective operations of assigned technicians and projects.

- Requires keen ability to maintain order and communicate clearly to clients and personnel.

- Understanding of current regulatory criteria and corresponding field implementation.

- Skilled at compiling and reviewing written documents.

- Ability to manage projects and personnel working in remote and isolated areas.

- Willingness to travel to domestic and international sites as required.

Other Responsibilities

As a vital member of the Keneco Environmental operations team, the successful candidate will be expected to handle on-call duties, in rotation. This position will also require the candidate to participate in on-going improvements to Keneco’s policies and procedures.

ENVIRONMENTAL FIELD TECHNICIANS – CONSULTANT POSITIONS

(Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan)

Keneco Environmental requires Drilling Waste Disposal and Reclamation technicians. Knowledge in applicable regulatory guidelines and legislation is preferred. Waste disposal technician duties will include drilling fluid sampling, testing and disposal coordination while reclamation duties will include site assessments, information collection, documentation and reclamation planning and implementation. Candidates will be required to represent Keneco during discussions with landowners, agents of regulators, and representatives of Keneco’s customers. Successful candidates will have a working knowledge of computers and possess a science related degree or diploma. Position requires a willingness to travel. Experience is an asset but not required.
