Environmental Audits

A due diligence assessment (Environmental Audit) involves evaluating and reporting
certain lands that an oil & gas company may be interested in acquiring. This will
enable companies to decide if there is more liability in acquiring the lands.

All tracking systems must be effective and capable of displaying due diligence.

This process involves:

  • A review of well files associated with the location or site

  • An ERCB release and complaint search (Spill Search)

  • A Directive 50 Database Drilling Waste Disposal Search

  • An Environmental Enforcement Search

  • An Air Photo Review

  • Interviews with personnel (Landowners)

  • A Field Visit or Site Inspection
